Cooking was always a pleasure in Maggie’s family. She mostly learned from her mother and grandmother. Starting of course with the galettes (savory crêpes) and crêpes (that are sweet) and then with all the famous French recipes that make France, one of the best country for fine cuisine.
She was born in the East of France, raised in the South countryside of Paris and on the Ile de Ré (an island on the West Coast in the Atlantic Ocean) where her parents had a vacations house and where they retired today. After she graduated from a major business school in Paris, she decided to be a flight attendant for a while. And as she was travelling the world she found out that United States is one of the richest country but where the food was not that great. Mostly because it has to be fast, a lot and cheap. Quality and health then used not to be a preoccupation. But step by step it’s changing and Americans are more concerned now about what they eat. After 5 years spent working in 2 different hotels and restaurants in Les Baux de Provence she decided to come to Las Vegas to open her own business to share her specialties.
Not only crêpes of course, you can now with L’Académie de Maggie, order anything you want that she can cater to your house, business or any facility where your event takes place.
